Community Signs Worksheets for Teens and Adults
Match community signs to what they mean.
About this worksheet
Safety and community signs matched to plain-language meanings. Each sign is drawn in the shape students will see in real life: an octagon for STOP, a circle with a bar for DO NOT ENTER, a hanging sign for OPEN and CLOSED. UK, Irish and Australian versions use TOILETS, LIFT and STAFF ONLY.

What each level includes
- Level 1: Four signs, with a picture on each.
- Level 2: Six signs, with a picture on each.
- Level 3: Eight signs, shapes and words only.
Ideas for using it
- Take the sheet on a walk around school and find each sign in real life.
- Cut the signs apart to make a matching game.
