About this worksheet
A practice electricity bill with an account number, billing period, energy used, charges and the amount due. US and Canadian bills use a price per kWh and a monthly service charge; UK, Australian and Irish bills use a unit rate and a daily standing or supply charge.

What each level includes
- Level 1: Find the company, the amount due, the due date and the energy used.
- Level 2: Read the price per kWh, any unpaid balance and the late fee.
- Level 3: Work out the energy charge, the daily charge and the total due.
Ideas for using it
- Talk about what happens when a bill is paid late, using the late fee on the sheet.
- Have students highlight the due date and the amount due in the same color.
