About this worksheet

A one-month bank statement with money in, money out and a running balance. Students find balances and amounts and, at Level 3, fill in missing balances and spot a charge that appears twice.

What each level includes

  • Level 1: Five transactions. Find the balances and one purchase.
  • Level 2: Seven transactions. Find the biggest purchase and the total paid in.
  • Level 3: Nine or ten transactions. Fill in missing balances and find a double charge.

Ideas for using it

  • Explain money in and money out before starting.
  • Allow a calculator for Level 3 if the goal is reading, not adding.
